March Madness & Upcoming Events

If you want to know how I generally do in the March Madness pool, here's a little illustration:

Unfortunately this is a trend that extends over the years; not just this one.  Notice how my name is not even visible on the list.

Despite the fact that we saw snow for the majority of today, I am looking forward to spring and summer-starting to get excited about upcoming plans.  Among the upcoming excitement?  Spring Break!!

I'm sure you're curious what a stay at home mom could possible be excited about spring break.  Will I be donning my bikini and partying it up in South Beach?

Um, no.

Not even close.  I probably couldn't be paid to be seen in a bikini for...the rest of my life.

I'll be partying it up from the comfort of my own living room, surrounded by plenty of junk food, lots of laughter, and definitely my knitting needles.

I know, I'm quite the party animal.  I'll try to keep my behavior in check since there will be little eyes on me.

And the reason I have to wait until Spring Break?  Leanne will be my partner in crime for the week.  She has the entire week off of school and we plan to basically live together.  Knitting and eating seems so much better with someone to do it with.

We may or may not have some greater plans in the works.  Plans that need some serious attention.  Details that will hopefully be finalized for an upcoming adventure.

Spring Break is sure to not disappoint.

In other news, Ruby has become quite animated in the last week.  And not in a good way.  The theme of her behavior has been Testing, Testing!  She is a mess.  She does things she shouldn't and looks up with this ornery look.  Her protests are proclaimed via something I like to call her dinosaur roar.  It's like a mix of high-pitched whining and the cry of a teradactyl.  I'm losing hairs because of it.

Something cute from her: this week, she kissed herself in the mirror after saying "hiiiii" and she danced with her shadow on the wall.

We're still battling residual snot (I know, gross) from the sick that invaded our house.  We are going on day 14.  I never thought I'd love staying home and spending entirely too much time wiping a runny nose.

But given my company, I wouldn't change it for the world.
