wakin' up is hard to do.

I was awoken this morning by my husband who seemed a bit perplexed as to why I would be sleeping late (10:00) with my snuggly baby. I didn't have the energy to list off the things that have contributed to the exhaustion factor in the five months prior, so instead retorted with a tired groan and rolled over. Until he told me that he wanted me to come open a gift.

I don't know about you, but I don't pass up gifts (and these days I seem to be even more excited for Ruby-type gifts), so I got up and came downstairs. There waiting for me was a pretty (and large) package. It took me a minute to pull myself together and open it, but I'm certainly glad I did! Underneath that pretty paper was a Cricut machine-something I have been lusting over for years. If you are unsure as to what this is-I would tell you it's like crack for a scrapbooker. So much so, that I have sat and watched an infomercial on the darn thing more times than I care to even admit.

And what perfect timing! The fact that I have finished school is so surreal that several times today I caught myself thinking that I had other things I needed to be doing. You know, besides being a bum in front of the computer and playing with my new toy. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Ruby seems to be chomping at the bitpacifier as teeth begin to make their appearance. Of course I have suspected these teeth for the last three months and have so far seen nothing. We'll probably be waiting for a year if I keep announcing that I believe she's teething. But the way she chomps and drools sure seems to be the proof. Time will tell.
She's beginning to say so many new sounds, it's quite fascinating to watch her pick them up. Unfortunately for me, my name is not Ya Ya, because that is the only thing that she says more frequently than Da Da. I guess if she is to say someone else's name before mine, his would be alright.

What a great gift! My best friend is a scrapbooker, and I got her a Cricut for her birthday two years ago. She loves it so much.

Congratulations on an awesome present!! Can I just say that the bow on your little darlings head is entirely too cute??!! Absolutely beautiful picture. Thanks for coming by my place and signing up to win a reusable grocery bag. I was hoping to email you, but there wasn't an email associated with your blog so I hope you don't mind me writing here. Have a great week.
